Cookies & browser storage
Essential preferences, optional audience measurement, and controls you can change.
Current storage
sf-theme remembers your light/dark preference until you clear it. It does not identify you to the publisher.
sf-analytics-choice-v1 stores your optional analytics choice for up to 180 days. It is used to remember and respect your choice.
sf-visitor-v1 contains a random identifier only after analytics opt-in. It expires after 90 days. It is not linked to your name or login. If you later refuse analytics, the identifier may remain until expiration or deletion so you can request removal of its existing records; it is not used for new measurements while analytics is off.
sf-visit-v1 groups consenting browsing activity into visits. A new visit starts after 30 minutes without a measurement. These values use localStorage rather than advertising cookies, but browser storage can still be subject to privacy rules. Expiry is checked when the application next uses the value; clearing browser site data removes it directly.
Essential authentication and provider cookies
OpenAI Sites and the ChatGPT authentication service may use necessary cookies for session handling, delivery and security. Readers do not need an account. Blocking essential provider cookies may prevent the publisher from signing in. Provider cookie names and retention are controlled by those services.
Change your choice
Open Privacy choices in the footer to allow or refuse optional analytics at any time, or delete this browser’s current analytics records. Reading remains available when you refuse. Detected Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track keeps optional analytics off. Clearing site data removes saved preferences; if you also remove the random identifier, the application may no longer be able to locate earlier records for deletion.
Advertising and outside services
AdSense and Google Analytics scripts are not active. The optional analytics panel is not a Google-certified advertising CMP. Before personalized Google ads are introduced for EEA, UK or Swiss readers, the required certified TCF CMP and updated vendor disclosures must be implemented. Other ad modes remain subject to applicable consent rules. Outside websites reached through links apply their own cookies and notices.
See the Privacy Policy for data purposes, recipients, retention and rights. Updated 27 October 2026.
